Debabrat Mandal, Baruipur: A BJP activist was summoned and shot on the day of the by-election results. He was taken to Kolkata for treatment due to the condition of the injured worker. The injured worker's name is Shibu Bhuiyan. The incident took place in Pathankhali village of Gosaba police station in south 24 parganas.
According to police sources, on that day, Trinamool activists called Shibu to their party party office to resolve a matter. On his way to the party office, he was first killed and broken leg. He was also allegedly shot in the leg. After the incident, huge police force went to the area. Police from Gosaba Police Station started searching the area. However, no accused has been arrested so far. On the other hand, the injured were taken to MR Bangor Hospital for treatment. The gun was fired in the right leg.

BJP's Gosaba block president Sukumar Mondal said, “The grassroots abusers are responsible for this. Already, a written complaint has been filed on behalf of us by Gosaba police station.
